The 9X series of MSA gas and combination filters are fully compliant with REACH regulations and do not contain toxic materials as stated in European regulations.
Restriction on use: Respiratory protection filters can be used anywhere, except certain areas such as containers or confined spaces. In principle, the following conditions must be known:

Characteristics:

• Type, property and composition of the pollutant
• Oxygen content of the inhalable air must be sufficient [> 17 vol.-%]
• Local or national restrictions or conditions must be followed
• For all gases and vapors that may be present in combination with particulates [dust , smoke, mist, atomization] a combination filter [protection against gases and particles] must be used.
• The recommendations for filters are based on pure substances. In the case of mixtures, waste products or decomposition products, impurities must be taken into account.
• For compositions with a boiling point below 65°C, AX filters should be used.
• If the above list mentions a particulate filter [eg. A-P2] for a specific substance, particulates are usually found with the gas or vapour.
